I don't get this idea expressed by a few posters that pushing Rice forward will improve his usefulness to the team. Rice is a defensive midfielder and needs to be played in front of the back 4.
Rice is the best in Europe at that defensive role so why push him forward where he's not used to playing? It's like saying Dawson scores goals put him up front. It doesn't work that way.

I suspect that the media/FA/PL/officials/VAR have already decided the outcome of this game.
CL football without Man U just doesn't draw in enough advertising revenue.

When does Aguerd next play,if he needs more games will he play on Thursday ? Almost certainly won't play on the Thursday.
His game is all about control,he stolled last night and looked fit. He's one of those players that always will.
Dawson won't be fit and Johnson can't play against MU in central defence.
Pehaps this could be the only game I would say play 5 at the back.

Gritty first half hour losing 2.0? I really want to be positive but I think this squad is beyond Moyes capabilities / what we (and hopefully the new investor) want. Over-caution against top teams away. Search Moyes stats. Prepare to be shocked.
